Sprouting

Want to add nutrient dense foods to your diet? Build your immune system? Very affordable? Then it is time to start growing sprouts. Packed with nutrition, sprouts provide more nutrition than the fully grown plant. No fancy equipment needed. A mason jar, and a screened lid is all you need. My 8 year old is the household sprout grower. It is a perfect way to get children helping in the kitchen.



To get started, grab a clean jar and screened lid. Soak your choice of seeds. Place in a jar. Rinse and tilt the jar two to three times a day. It’s that simple!



Eat them in your favorite salad, as a sandwich fixing, in smoothies, or all by themselves!
